Quality and Performance in Deep foundation Engineering
Drilling tools are an integral part of the success of deep foundation projects.
Their performance plays a key role in determining the duration of a construction project and, consequently, the productivity of the construction site. Low wear costs, high operational availability, and a long service life for drilling tools are additional factors contributing to cost-effective specialized civil engineering work.
Over the course of decades, we have learned to translate these customer requirements into high-quality products and optimize them for the benefit of our customers.
Our engineers utilize state-of-the-art tools for design (3D CAD), analysis (FEM), and simulation (CFD).
Skilled and experienced production staff, a comprehensive range of machinery, and the use of materials and components sourced from Europe guarantee outstanding product quality.

Rotary drilling tools
In the field of Kelly drilling, this includes various augers and buckets, as well as tricutters, belling tools, and core drills. For the continuous drilling methods CFA, FDP, and double-head, we supply continuous augers and drill pipes.
All products can be manufactured in various diameters and lengths according to customer specifications.
To achieve high performance in all soil types, including those with the highest rock hardness, our tools are equipped with various cutting geometries and release mechanisms. They can also be used effectively in groundwater and under fluid support during uncased drilling.
Our decades of experience, combined with continuous development and improvement of cutting technology and wear resistance, along with adaptation to project-specific conditions, result in optimal tools for our construction clients.
Grab Drilling
Years of experience in both theory and practice have led to high-performance innovations such as the ball grapple, the flow-optimized volume drilling grapple, and the sand and gravel pump.
For use on two-cable excavators, Hartfuss supplies double-shell free-fall drilling grapples, ball grapples, various types of drop bits, as well as sand and gravel pumps.
To ensure maximum performance even for drilling in groundwater or under fluid support, our grabs are flow-optimized using CFD.

Diaphragm wall tools
Standard diaphragm wall grabs and tools—whether hydraulic or cable-operated—have been carefully designed in close collaboration with customers and significantly improved in key areas. This has resulted in a marked increase in performance and a reduction in wear costs.
Diaphragm wall grabs with intelligent cutting edge geometry have been developed to complement the grabs.
The diaphragm wall grabs feature a modular design. This allows all slot widths and grab widths required in construction site practice to be covered with just a few base units.
Engineering
Over the past decades, we have collaborated with our customers to develop products such as pile inspection baskets, pile base probes, drilling test benches, and custom adapter designs.
We also design and manufacture, tailored to the respective geological conditions, items such as ball grabs and drill buckets for uncased drilling up to 2.5 m in diameter and 110 m in depth.
All products are designed in our in-house engineering office and engineered for static and dynamic durability and operational reliability.

Accessories
Specialized civil engineering projects require drilling through a wide variety of soil and rock types. This necessitates a wide range of cutting tools — most of which are carbide-tipped. We keep the following in stock for quick delivery: various types of flat-tooth bits, round-shank bits for different applications, and roller bits, all including the appropriate holders.
Even for drilling tools delivered decades ago, replacement parts can still be manufactured based on our extensive drawing archive.
In addition, we maintain an extensive inventory of wear and replacement parts to ensure the fastest possible support for repairs and maintenance.
